Current work in the arts

    Co-founder, and current secretary, of OWCA (the Open Workshop for Culture and the Arts) in Palestine, founded in November 2004. OWCA is an organization designed to encourage the exchange of culture through the arts between Palestine and the global community.

    Initiated a project with artist, Jamal Alafghani, to create a bronze mural dedicated to the municipality of Al Birah, a suburb of Ramallah, titled, The People’s March.

    January, 2006, co-founded Ishkal, a collective of Palestinians artists, designed to promote young artists.

    During 2005, worked extensively in a graphics workshop involving local artists in coordination with The Women’s Center, Ramallah, titled “No” concerning violence against women. The collective works have been exhibited throughout Palestine and are scheduled to travel abroad.
