Organisational development Specialist-Consultant- Food Security Technical Assistant Program – European Commission Representative Office Working with the Food Security program team on the development of the Palestinian Food Security Strategy I was mandated to ensure the following tasks:
- The institutional and legal framework of the Strategy
- The Development of the sustainability tools and mechanisms for the implementation of the Strategy.
- The good governance arrangements, principles and norms for the Food Security structure.
- The capacity of the whole activity related to the development and formulation of the national Food Security Strategy (FSS).
- The capacity of the different stages of the development, planning, monitoring and evaluation of the strategy.
- The development and enhancement of the capacities related to food security national level.
- The evaluation and preparation of the technical reports on the quality of proposals submite to the MoP.
- The development of the action and monitoring plans and related Terms of Reference for the FS Strategy and the needed mechanisms.

Al –Jothour/ the Palestinian Centre for the development of Culture and Arts Executive Director
Al- Jothour is a coalition of a group of Palestinian experts in media, literature, and Drama and community development. These experts are very effective professionals through well-known organisations running by them within the Palestinian community. During the last two years of my work with Al Jothour I am working on the following tasks:
- Developing programs and project related to Palestinian children cultural identity.
- Strengthening the connections of Al Jothour with the local net working through developing a partnership with different related organisations.
- Working on the development of the capacity building of the organisation by fund raising from the international donors.
- Liaison between the Palestinian community in Nazareth and the refugee camps in West Bank and Gaza strip through child to child program.

National Plan for Palestinian Children (NPA Secretariat)
Programs Co-ordinator
During my work with the NPA Secretariat, which is one of MOPIC programs and funded, by SIDA, my main responsibilities were:
- Providing the NGO’s Coalitions with the required consultation for four years through the implementation of a national summer camp’s program for the children in West Bank and Gaza.
- Strengthening the capacity building of the relevant Departments at the Ministries and the related NGO's on children and adolescents issues.
- Developing and preparing the national plan of action for the last five years for the childhood and adolescents Departments at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
- Providing the team of the Ministries and the related Partners with the needed technical support to implement programs and projects for the children at the national level.
- Developing and preparing drafts polices related to children and women in co-operation with the relative Ministries and NGO's.
- Developing and preparing Strategic Plan with Ministry of information/ woman and Child Department, BPC and other Media agencies to develop the capacity building and sensitise the media organisations to the children rights and issues.
- Co-ordinating community and media awareness campaigns on Children rights through the last four years in co-operation with BPC, community organisations and media agencies.
- Developing and preparing the draft of Palestinian Children Rights Charter in collaboration with the related governmental and non- governmental organisations with the British council support.

WOMEN’S STUDIES CENTRE:
Community Outreach Unit Co-ordinator.
- Co-ordinate all activities of the annual Women festival that occurred on April 95 which was aiming to raise the women as well as community awareness toward gender issues. As a representative of the Women’s studies centre I was chairperson of the Steering Committee of the festival which was composed of five NGO’s representatives.
- Editor of the “Kul - Nisa” (All- Women) Magazine, published by Women’s study Centre.
- CO-ordinating outreach programme for and or with the Palestinian NGO’s that include seminars. Workshops and open discussions.
- Co-ordinate and preparing the required materials for documentary film's production in women's issues.
- CO-ordinate a training course in communication skills, Cyprus 95.
1992 -1994
PRIVATE SECTOR:
Designed my own training project for women on handicrafts.
- Supervised and helped women in marketing their products and in Fund-raising.
1990- 1992:
TAMER INSTITUTE:
- CO-ordinate of the Participatory Research Committee.
- Trained women on ways to improve their productivity skills and potentials at managing their own projects.
1988 - 1990:
HEAD OF THE PRODUCTION’S COMMITTEE with PALESTIAN FEDERATION of WORKING WOMEN COMMITTEES:
- Assisted women in the West Bank and Gaza to establish new productive projects.
- Wrote fund raising proposals and assisted women in getting funds for their productive projects by arranging for them machinery and equipment’s.
- Designed Comprehensive training programmes for women locally and abroad on marketing, management and accounting to improve their qualifications and capabilities in these areas and helped them in marketing their products.
1986- 1987
Translator and educator/ Toronto- Canada
- Working as a translator for the students at University of Toronto who were studying Arabic.
- Teaching Arabic to the children from Arabs/ Canadians families.
Training courses:
- Attended and completed an advanced English course in George Town College/ Toronto- Canada.
- During the last four years and within the NPA Secretariat process to develop the two phases of the national plan of action for children, I attended several training workshops in Program Management Cycle(PMC), recommended by the shepherd of the NPA which is SIDA and implemented by European, Egyptian and Jordanian trainers. 1996- 1998.
- Attended a two weeks training course in communication skills and Training of Trainers conducted by Women’s University Services (WUS) and (ACT) in Cyprus.
- Attended a 10 day training course on implementation of gender senitizations in management and communications conducted by WUS \ WSC in Jerusalem.
- Attended an advance 10 days training course in Training of Trainers conducted by Ma’an Development Centre and Marine Institute- Canada in Ramallah- Palestine Feb 1997.
- Co-ordinate a baggage of training workshops in monitoring, financial regulations and programs implementation for four weeks 1999-2000.
- Co-ordinate in two training workshops in Children Policy Formulation organised by the NPA Secretariat and conduct by a British trainer for four weeks 1999- 2000.
PUBLICATIONS and Community A activities:
May 1995:
- Participated in a conference, which was held in Egypt on May 1995, with a paper about “women’s low and development” - I was representing WSC in Aisha forum “Arab Women’s Forum”for one year.
- 1992- published an article, “Women’s Role in Productive Projects" Dar - El-shrarah publishing magazine. “Women in State of Conflict”.
1980-1986:
- Published several short stories on the suffering of women in the Palestinian community at Al-Kateb magazine and local newspapers.
- Participate in preparation a conference on “Women, Law & Justice as Ramallah steering committee and Organised as well as educational outreach programme for women.
- Participate in the “conference organised in Amman to prepare for the women’s world conference to be held in Beijing, September 95.
